#SaveStation19
THE CAMPAIGN
In the three months since ABC’s shocking decision to prematurely cancel its ratings hit, Station 19, the show’s fans have been busy mounting a campaign to save it. With over 80,000 signatures on the Save Station 19 petition, billboards, thousands of letters, and a plane flying a #SaveStation19 banner over ABC HQ, Station 19 fans are not giving up without a fight. As one of the most diverse shows currently on TV, Station 19 is crucial to today’s television landscape. Its dedication to diverse voices in front of and behind the camera, its celebration of LGBTQ and BIPOC characters and relationships, and its unrivaled ability to garner empathy and solidarity from its loyal audience are just some of the reasons why Station 19 deserves to be saved from cancellation.
The season 7 has started at its new time, 10/9 central. As such, the campaign is now entering its second phase which will continue throughout season seven’s ten episodes and beyond. The views matter more than ever, so watch, stream and spread the word!
To celebrate Station 19’s monumental 100th episode, and in honor of the show’s ongoing commitment to social justice, the fandom is also working on a project that gives back to our communities. Station 19 has inspired people from all over the world. It has changed lives and continues to uplift and highlight marginalized communities and experiences.

THE CANCELLATION
Representation matters. Station 19’s diverse fanbase understands this better than most. Traditionally, shows featuring racialized characters in lead roles and queer characters are most susceptible to cancellation. According to GLAAD’s “Where Are We On TV Report” for 2022-2023, the number of LGBTQ+ characters on TV has decreased, with additional losses expected due to cancellations for next season.
During the WGA/SAG strikes, the Station 19 fandom joined forces to support our writers and actors on the picket lines. Now, as we face the show’s cancellation, it’s time to mobilize once again in order to save Station 19.
After six seasons, multiple awards, and sold-out fan conventions, Station 19 is at the top of its game. Its ratings, viewership, and audience numbers continue to grow, which makes this cancellation all the more heartbreaking for fans who felt they could trust ABC and its parent company, The Walt Disney Corporation. In Disney’s own words, “…we are all greater than a single story and we all deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood.” Station 19 is the very definition of Disney’s diversity pledge.
